The amazing thing about photographing a wedding in Carmel is, that you never know what the weather will be like. You can be driving down along Highway 1 and find yourself in patches of dense fog, clear blue sky, and back again. You don’t truly know what kind of weather you’re working with but it’s okay. With a venue as photogenic and breathtakingly beautiful like Bernardus, where there are are lush patches of greenery, a rose garden, and beautiful winding paths lined with lavender at every corner, you don’t really care what the weather will be like, because either way, it will photograph well!

Lily and Eddy

Speaking of photographing well, let’s talk about our beautiful couple, Lily and Eddy. The sum of their story was, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. They had originally met in high school in Maryland. In Lily’s words, “my first impression of him was that he was very scrawny with dorky glasses.” And Eddie’s first impression of Lily was that “she was short with big eyes and big ears.” Throughout high school and college, they continued being friends, but it wasn’t until Eddie visited Lily on vacation one year that they decided dating.
